Seemed like a good idea at the time

March 3, 2008

I guess this is a symptom of crunch time. I am sure having an exhibition seemed like a good idea at some point, but right now it seems very dim. There is so much to do and so little time. The cows are almost done. I am working on them steadily, I don’t want to rush or get annoyed with them and I know I do have the time for them. However the shopping and preparing all looks very scary. Fortunately I do have people who can and will help on the day. I hate to think what state I would be in now without that. Why is it all the little things seem to take so much time and effort. Now where will I get very large sheets of clear cellophane to wrap my prints…

It is still a good idea. But yes, all the little things do take a lot more time then they ought to.

Yes I think you are right. I am surprised how tiring I am finding things right now. I am sure it will get easier once the show is hung though.

  3. I suppose it’s a bit like organising a wedding. Something will go wrong, but that one little thing won’t matter unless you devote too much to it.
It will be fine and I’m looking forward to it.

I hadn’t thought of it like that, but yes I suppose any big event is going to be similar. I am generally pretty good at solving last minute problems, I’d just much rather avoid them to start with. I really should try writing a list of outstanding issues but every time I try I think of something urgent I have to do.

Poop, I’ve just remebered something I was supposed to do earlier and forgot… again…

And, like a wedding, once it opens you will be glad you did it. I have no doubt it will go off fine, and you will be the one most aware of any little glitches! Good luck, I’m happy for you!

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the support. I think some part of me knows you are all right but there are moments.
